If you are in grades 6-10 at Westminster and are interested in competitive sailboat racing, and you would like to learn more about developing your skills as a racing crew or skipper, please register today for “The Westminster Sailing Team Open House and Sailing Experience” on November 10th. Registration spots are limited at this orientation and on water experience. We will confirm spots on a first come first serve basis, and there will be a waiver that will be sent out with a confirmation of your registration.

(bring your lifejacket if you have one and appropriate boating clothing with shoes or water shoes)
Schedule:
3:45 pm – Introduction to Coaches and Sailing Team Members
On land boat orientation/lesson and Life Jacket fitting
Pair new crew with experience Sailing Team members
4:00 pm – On the bay sailing experience
Basic sail trim, body positioning and navigate a racecourse
Sailors experience a mock race
All participants get a chance to sail
5:30 pm – Wrap up meeting
Learn how to get more experience sailing at CGSCIC
Discuss possible opportunities to tryout for the team in the future
5:45 pm Parent pick up time
